Pokemon WAR- plans for NO.6: Survivor The mushroom of smoke rose over ilex forest. A big yellow truck with the red letters HAZMAT stamped on the side sped through Azalea town, lights flashing. Yes, it had begun. Giovanni had nuked goldenrod city, signifying the start of the war. Ash rode in on a Chinook, as usual. Except this time, everyone was dressed in white HazMat suits. Parachuting down, Ash landed on a patch of scorched earth. In fact, the whole landing site was scorched earth! Smoke rose from the ground as ash looked around at the half-nuked skyscrapers, I-beams lying all over. “Ok, men!” The half-garbled voice of Lt. Colonel Tibbes came over a Comlink in ash’s hostile environment helmet. “I want you to spread out and search for survivors. If you find one, call in for medics… this sector is scoring a 6 on my Geiger counter…” Ash began his search in the department store. Unmoving corpses were strewn about by the force of the blast. Officer Jenny still stood faithfully by her guard post, though she was dead as a doornail…. “Let’s move marines!” The cry rang out somewhere in the smoke-filled, dust-covered 5th floor of the department store. Beams of light from SGK-65s cut through the dust as a group of marines appeared on the landing. “It’s a rebel! Fire! Fire!” The group of marines opened fire on ash, who hid behind the counter as bullets whizzed overhead. The desk clerk’s dead body fell down and stared at ash through cold, unmoving eyes. “AAAAA!” screamed ash. “Hold your fire!” shouted a voice, which ash recognized as Suicune. “Suicune!” said ash, emerging from behind the counter. “I’m so glad you-” “ok fire” said suicune and ash was plugged up with 5 bullets in the arm because he ducked in time. Ash ran outside, bleeding badly. But the Chinooks had already left. The Marine’s Chinook was taking off from the roof, too. “Wait!” ash tried to signal to the Chinook. But it was no use; he was stuck in a radioactive environment with a HazMat suit on its last legs. And to the military, he was dead. Ash was going to die out here… and he knew it. He fell to the ground, in a pool of his own blood. But then came the sound… the steady pounding of feet from a Rocketeer brigade. There was nowhere to hide. Either way, ash was going to meet his untimely demise. TO BE CONTINUED Here’s a sneek peek for next time: Ash wet his pants. The men in hazmat suits could tell. “Oh crap, man…” said the first. That’s all I can afford to give away! See you in number 7!
