PG-13 You know the routine, Parents vaguely cautioned, light swearing, comical violence, etc, etc. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------ Zack and Amy were on a small blimp. Unusual yes? Well the reason behind their being on a small blimp was that they were on their way to a trainer tower that had just opened on a small island north of Kanto, and, due to some recent abnormally rough seas, the only way their was by blimp. As a rule, Zack hated blimps. He'd already been in a crash on one a few years before when he was fourteen on a school field trip. What happened was, a couple of mad scythers attacked the gray baloon, thinking it was a giant perism berry, resulting in the baloon bursting, and the whole wreckage landing in the sea, only to be fished out by a Mexican taco freighter. It was beause of this that Zack had decided to stay in the blimp restraunt and attack the chef's special, the mystery meat surprise. Anyway, the sky gradually went a little darker, and a tanoid announced, 'We may be experiencing a slight turbulance problem. Please remain calm. Drinks will be served soon. We assure you, everything is under control.' As if it had been sent by irony itself, a lightening bolt struck the blimps left rotor, sheering it off completely. What happened then was not only bizzare, but completely random. The sheered propellor, still spinning, ripped into the side of the baloon, leting out a jet of the explosive helium. At the same instance the propellor-less engine misfired, sending a spark into the madly flammable gas. A huge barrage of flames erupted from the side of the blimp, sending it spinning over on it's roof. Amy, hitting her head hard on the ceiling, passed out, while Zack suddenly found himself and his mystery meat spatterd all over the cieling of the restraunt. Amy woke up. Not naturally, but because a wingull had just landed on her forehead, and was shouting it's name very loudly. She sat up, startling the pokemon, which flew away. She looked around. She was on what looked like a small metal island, with some other people scattered about. The small metal island was the remains of the blimp. At about the same time Zack woke up too. The cause was someone shouting something about a wingull or something. He didn't care. The main concern for him was why he couldn't feel his arm any more. He looked up and yelled very loudly. Amy suddenly heard a shout of 'AARGH!!! BASTARD!!!' She spun around to see Zack with most of his left arm buried under the front of the cockpit. She got up, and ran the short distance over to him. "Zack, you okay!? What happened? Does it hurt! Can you hear me!!" "I'm not okay, my arm's crushed, It hurts like hell, and I can hear you!" "Sorry! But how am I meant to do anything about it?" "Release Arcanine, it's the ultra ball on my belt. Aargh! Hurry!" Too numb to really feel what she was doing, her ice cold hands fumbled with the ball, sending it rolling off the side of the wreckage, and into the murky green water. "What was that?" Asked Zack. "Ummm.." Replied Amy, "Nothing, hang on." Amy franticly peered into the water, trying to see the ball. It was gone. Unbeknown to her however, there was a jaged piece of rock beneath the remains of the blimp. This was not only what was holding it afloat, but also what Zack's Aranine's ball caught on. The sharp rock cracked the ball, releasing the pokemon inside, much to the surprise of arcanine, who suddenly found itself surrounded by water, and unable to breathe. The fire pokemon broke the surface of the water, creating billowing clouds of steam as it's rocket hot body heaved itself back onto the 'island', collapsing in a heap, and making the whole thing creak. "Hey, arcanine, little help over here buddy?" Hearing it's trainer for the first time in nearly a week, the pokemon jumped around to greet him, only to see Zack's arm buried, Amy panicking, and a man who looked about ninety and very confused standing a few feet away. It blew the cockpit of the blimp crushing Zack's arm clean away with a fireball, accidently leaving it's trainer one eyebrow short. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------------- Well, there you go, chapter 5 done.
