Traveler's Tales -2 Disclaimer- Look, if I really owned pokemon, I'd be out blowing all my money.I don't and aren't. I daresay some sushi-chomping happy jappy chappy is though. Git. Adam had been traveling along route 181 for a while now. Attached to his belt were already three pok'eballs containing his pichu, a newly caught azurill and a poliwag he found by a pond. He was full of himself. This could be the reason he readily accepted a battle from a brown haired girl in a purple top by the name of gabby oak. First up she sent out a geodude. Adam called on his trusty pichu, but as it's electric attacks didn't affect the rock pok'emon, one mega punch was all the geodude needed to send it's rival into submission. Next he sent out his azurill. A powerful water gun sent the geodude flying into a nearby tree, but it recovered, and used a deadly explosion attack, fainting both pokemon. Only one pokemon left on each side. Gabby threw out a squirtle, and Adam his polywag. The two trainers stared each other down. The pokemon both instantaniously tackled each other, both sustaining seemingly equal damage. The poliwag used a tail slap on squirtle, but it was of no effect as the foe used withdraw. Poliwag used helium bubble, and floated the squirtle into the air. It shot a water gun at poliwag, knocking back the tiny pokemon, but at the same time, much to squirtle's surprise, sending squirtle plummeting fifty feet back to the ground. A thud and a dust cloud cleared, to reveal a passed out squirtle and a slightly woozy poliwag. "YEAH! Go poliwag!" Adam yelled, lifting his pokemon onto his shoulder. The pokemon fell off into his arms and passed out from the effort of it's finishing attack. "Looks like we both need a trip to the pokemon centre." Said the girl. "Er, yeah I guess so, you wanna come with me, I'm headed for chetree city, that's not far from here, there's one there we could stop off at." Adam anwered. "Sounds like a plan." She finished. Meanwhile Zack, as ever was takin things slightly easier. He figured that after a days training with growlithe and some more battles with the wild pokemon, a rest stop at a small lagoon he found was well deserved. While his growlithe singed the odd rattata lazily, he slumped back on a flat rock next to the water, watching the pathetic magicarp feebly splash each other, occasionally stopping to rest at the physical stressesof it. He laid his head back and dozed off. Amy was not making quite as much progress as adam, but she was enjoying hrself to say the least. Amy was having a race with her eevee to a big rock she saw next to a pond. They were neck and neck, until her pokemon used a quick attack, beating her with ease. "Hey! No fair, that was a quick attack!" She moaned. The pokemon just chirped and jumped into it's trainers arms. Suddenly it stiffened and started to growl at a growlithe that had just popped it's head out from a tree. The growlithe jumped to the ground and arched it's back at the duo. "Wow, a growlithe! Go eevee, qiuick attack!"She ordered. A boy's voice shouted out from behind her,"Growlithe, torch it with flamethrower!" The orange striped dog obeyed, and badly burned the eevee before it had gotten over the shock of someone else being so near, causing it to topple over onto it's side. "Eevee, return!" The girl withdrew her beaten pokemon in the red beam of the poke'ball. She turned round to see a boy with shoulder length black hair, and a long black coat. 'Wow' She thought. "Hey who are you!" "Zack Torman, at your service." "Who do you think you are, grilling my eevee like that?!" "Don't blame me, you started it." "Wha.. No I did NOT!" "You told your eevee to attack first." "Oh yeah, eevee!" She cried, worried for her pokemon's health. She Let the pokemon out of the poke'ball. It staggered then fainted again. She tried to inject it with a potion, but nothing happened. He saw she was starting to panic. He got his pack out and forced a revive tablet down the pokemon's throat. "What was that?" She asked. "Just watch." He replied Slowly the eevee got back up, and in the end, looked like it was in pretty good condition. It jumped into Amy's arms and nuzzled her sweater. "Thanks! That worked great!" She exclaimed, smiling like a cheshire cat. "Anytime. Where you headed too anyway?" "Rout 186, then Dawnford." "Yeah same here, you fancy coming along for the ride?" "So long as you don't let your growlithe loose on me, then okay, I'm in." Adam and Gabby were talking at one of the benches outside the pokemon centre. Nurse Joy was healing their pokemon, and adam just got them a tin of fzzystuff each. "So Adam, where ya from?" She asked. "Lumdale, how 'bout you?" "I'm from Varodale city, just doing a bit of training en route to chetree." "Cool, I only got my pokemon yesterday, I've been catching them on 181." "Nice, my grandad gave me my geodude, he used to be pretty famous." "Youre proffesor Oak's grandaughter! Wow, that's awesome." "It's nothing much. I get the 'Wow you're related to the prof.' all the time." "Sorry." "Don't be. Come on, the pokemon are probibly healed by now." She said. A/N: There goes chapter 2. If the spelling is a bit off, bear in mind the only thing keeping me alive when I wrote it was coffe, dime bars and some polos I found lurking under my monitor. Don't bother to review me people. It's not that I'm ungrateful or anythin, but I'm young and am forced to share my computer with my even younger brother. He thinks it funny to go through my e-mail and delete all my fics.
