If I did, Joe and Giselle would appear a lot more, and Ash and Misty would be more of a couple. Ages: Aaron 19 Erin 19 Chapter Two Reunion The next morning Morning light snuck through an open area between the red silk curtains and shone on the head of the bed next to the window. The figure lying there underneath the blue blanket and white sheets stirred and opened his eyes to see sunlight shining in his eyes. He blinked his eyes, and slowly got up. The figures face is revealed to be that of 13-year-old Joe Johnson. His brown hair is a mess and his deep blue eyes were still not all the way open, due to being woken up after a long night of sleep. Joe: Next time, Id better make sure that I close those drapes all the way. Joe got up from bed and walked over to the dresser made of oak, in which his clothes were for the time hell be here. He changed out of his bedclothes and laid out blue jean shorts and a white shirt with jagged green stripes along with an arrowhead necklace. He went into the bathroom and got cleaned up. Then he exited the bathroom, all clean and woken up, and changed into his clothes. Then he left his suite and headed for the elevator. After getting to the main floor, he walked out the front doors and into town. Joe: Only a couple of days until Giselle arrives. Id like to get her something, but I dont know what shed like. Joe pondered this as he walked through the streets, unaware of the two pairs of eyes that watched him from a rooftop. Mysterious Figure#1: Hell be competing in a few days. Then well see the leaders Dragonite and those special Pokmon that young Joseph uses. Mysterious Figure#2: Weve been following this kid for a long time, and its about to pay off when he faces off against Drake, Aaron. Aaron: Yes, Erin. Team Rocket will prevail! Back to Joe Joe passed in front of a variety of stores, looking for a present for Giselle. Nothing appealed to him. Joe: I dont think Ill ever find something shell like. Then he passed by a gift shop and saw something that he knew that Giselle would like. Joe: Thats perfect! Shell love it. Joe goes into the store and buys the item. Minutes later, Joe walks out with the gift. Joe: Now, to start training my Pokmon for the match. ~ At Pokmon Tech, Sunday afternoon, 2pm A middle-aged man, Professor Wilson was speaking to a small group of Tech students. Professor Wilson: All right, everybody. Be sure you have everything you need because we will not be turning around for the sake of any missing items. Also, be sure you have the following required items: notebook, pencil/pen, and a camera. These items are very important in making your reports from this trip. The group five boys and five girls stood outside the main entrance in front of their professor and the bus theyd be taking. Giselle was among those standing, with everything ready. Besides the required items, she also had her basic essentials, her photo album (so she could look at Joes picture more!), a pair of rose-tinted sunglasses and her Pokballs. Giselle: (to herself) This is it. Were finally going. Ive been waiting for this ever since last year. Everybody in the group whod known Joe was talking excitedly about Joe facing off against Drake. Allison: Well, Giselle. Im amazed that Joes gotten so far. Isnt it a surprise to see him get this far? Giselle: (nodding) I know. Joes really improved. I wonder what Pokmon hes planning to use. He said hes still deciding. Allison: Whatever his strategy, I bet its going to be an exciting battle. Giselle nods again. Then the professor motioned everyone to get on the bus to Vermilion City. ~ Back at Pummelo Island, two days later The hotel elevator dinged, having reached its destination. Joe walked out and over to the service desk. Joe: Have I received any mail today? Clerk: Name and room number? Joe: Joe Johnson, room 20A. The clerk turned around and sorted through the mail boxes to find Joes number. Finding it, the clerk took out the one piece of mail Joe had gotten. Clerk: Here we are a postcard from Vermilion City. Joe: (taking the postcard) Thank you. Joe walked away from the service desk, looking at the card. His eyes lit up and a smile etched its way across his face when he read it. Joe: Giselles coming today. Shell be arriving at Pummelo Port in a couple of hours. Having high spirits again, Joe headed out once more towards Pummelo Port to wait for Giselles boat to come in. Deciding to go flying while he waited, he took out a Pokball. Joe: Go, Pidgeot! The large, flying Pokmon appeared in a blaze of light. Pidgeot: Pidgeotooooooooo!!!!!!! Joe: (getting on the birds back) Lets fly, Pidgeot! Pidgeot let out another screech and took off into the evening sky. Joe enjoyed flying, which is how he sometimes got to the different islands. Otherwise, hed use one of his large water Pokmon. He flew for a while until he saw a boat pulling into the port. Joe: Its Giselles boat! Right on time. Pidgeot, fly back to the ground! They flew towards the ground and Joe got off Pidgeot, who was recalled. He went towards the area where Giselle and the other Tech students would be meeting. Once there, he immediately saw her talking to one of the other girls. He also noticed several of his other friends from Tech, but his attention remained on Giselle. He started walking. Giselle, who still hasnt noticed him, continues talking. One of the students, however, turned and saw him. Male Tech Student: Hey everyone! Its Joe! Immediately, everyone turned and saw Joe. Giselles face lit up as she saw the young teen. Just seeing her face almost made his legs buckle. He maintained his composure. He smiled and waved. Joe: Uh, hi everyone. Suddenly, everyone except Giselle crowded around him, excitedly asking questions about his well-being and his journey. He saw Giselle smirk in amusement. It was a now-you-know-how-it-feels-to-be-popular smirk. He tried to calm everyone down, but had no luck. Fortunately, Professor Wilson stepped in. Professor Wilson: ENOUGH!!! I am sure that Joe will answer your questions later. Right now, we must get to our hotel so we may talk about plans for our time here. Joe: Thank you, Professor. Ill be happy to help lead the way. Professor Wilson nodded and started walking with Joe. Everyone else grabbed their belongings and followed them towards the nearby bus station. Once they got on, Joe sat up front with the professor while Giselle was in the seat behind with Allison. Joe began conversing with Professor Wilson about his journey. All the while, Giselle listened politely and quietly. Joe: The Orange League Gyms are a bit different than normal Gyms. They rely on skills and how well you can work with your Pokmon. Professor Wilson: Very interesting. Joe then went on and explained the things that he encountered when he wasnt battling for the Badges. He is now telling them of his adventure on Sunburst Island. Professor Wilson: So, you were face-to-face with the rare Crystal Onix? Joe: Yep. I saw it in the lake. I was surprised it showed no sign of weakness to the water when it surfaced. Giselle: What did you do next? Joe: Well, I didnt feel like capturing it because it seemed peaceful in its own environment. So, I merely took a picture of it and it disappeared into the water. Then I left the island. Giselle: Do you have any souvenirs? Joe: I have one souvenir from each of the islands Ive visited. Ill show them to you tomorrow after everyones had a good nights sleep. They arrived in just a few minutes. Everyone gathers their belongings and exit the bus. Joe leads them in and directs them to the main desk, where theyll get their rooms. But before they head over, Professor Wilson talks to them. Professor Wilson: Okay, everyone. I suggest you choose your roommates. Giselle, you may select first. Giselle: Hmm. May I room with Joe? The other girls giggled as Joe blushed. Professor Wilson spoke up. Professor Wilson: Giselle, Id suggest you choose a different person. Joe needs to concentrate for his upcoming battle. Joe: Its okay, Professor. She can help me figure out my strategy. Besides, my room has two beds in it. Professor Wilson: (somewhat reluctantly) Very well. Giselle, you may room with Joe. As for the rest of you Giselle smiled at the fact of rooming with Joe. Allison nudged her. Allison: A little excited to be with Joe again, eh Giselle? Giselle: Maybe. But Id just like some time with Joe to catch up on things. He did say that he needed help figuring out a strategy, so Im going to help him. Allison: Just dont do anythinginappropriate, if you know what I mean. She ended her statement with a wink. Giselle realized what she meant and blushed slightly. Giselle: (with a hint of anger) Allison, stop that! Im 15, for crying out loud. I know how to behave myself. Allison: Chill out, girl. I was just joking. Giselle: Whatever. Lets just get our room keys. Everyone got their keys and headed for their rooms, which were all on the first floor. Giselle headed for the elevator with Joe. Joe: Giselle, you mind if I help you with those? Giselle: (blushing) Sure. Here you go. She hands Joe a suitcase. They enter the elevator together. The doors close and they feel the elevator moving up. Giselle: So, was that you on the Pidgeot I saw? Joe: You saw me? I was just flying around while I waited for you. Its a great view from up there. Giselle: I could tell youve trained it well through my binoculars. Very well groomed. Joe: Thanks, Giselle. Giselle: I see youre still an inch shorter than me. That seems to be the one of the only things that hasnt changed about you. Joe: Hey! Ive been eating right. (somewhat meekly) I just dont sprout fast. Giselle: (chuckling) Whatever you say, Joe. But you have gotten a little muscular since I last saw you. Joe: (thinking to himself) Shes cute when she laughs like that. (out loud) Thats what happens when you travel a lot through the Orange Islands. Theres some tough terrain on some of the islands, and I had the advantage of exploring every one of them. Giselle: Interesting. (goes back to admiring his strong frame while he wasnt looking) The elevator dinged. The two trainers walked out and headed for Joes suite. They enter and put Giselles stuff down. Giselle takes a look around the room. Giselle: Not bad. It has a full view of the beach and the port. You havent done too badly for yourself, Joe. Joe: Thanks. This is one of the best rooms. Apparently, trainers who challenge the Orange Crew Leader get the best rooms. Giselle: Nice. When is your match? Joe: Friday, at 10:00 AM. Thats the best possible time. Although I wish I could sleep in a little more on Friday Then Giselle surprised Joe by wrapping her arms around him in a tight hug. Giselle: Ive missed you. Joe: Ive missed you too, but you dont need to crush my ribs like you are now! Giselle: (letting go) Sorry. Thanks for letting me room with you, Joe. Joe: Anything for you, Giselle. Im sure youre tired after a long journey. Giselle: I swear, Joe. It seems like you can read my mind! Joe: Not quite. If I could, Id probably be smarter than you. Giselle: (punching Joes arm playfully) In your dreams, Joe. Now lets get ready for bed. Giselle grabs some things from her suitcase and heads for Joes bathroom. Joe just watches her back as she walks in. He smiles to himself. Joe: (to himself) Wow. Shes gotten more beautiful than ever. Im going to enjoy rooming with her. After they both got cleaned up, they snuggled into their beds. Before turning out the lights, they looked at each other. Giselle: Im glad to be with you again, Joe. Joe: Likewise. Good night, Giselle. Giselle: Good night, Joe. The two closed their eyes and fell asleep with smiles on their faces. Joe opened his eyes again and saw Giselles beautiful face, so peaceful and dreamlike. He smiled once more and closed his eyes, falling asleep. -------------------------------------- That ends the second chapter. Joe and Giselle will discover their feelings for each other in the next chapter. I still am thinking of what Pokmon Joe will use. I know hell use Pidgeot and maybe his first Pokmon. Youll see later. Until then, have a nice day!
