Chapter 6: While on his way to Oreburgh City, Rocky and Lucario see a boy crying in the middle of the road. The boy's pokemon was stolen by someone who called herself Hunter J. Rocky said he would get the pokemon back of he ran into her. As they were walking, a woman wearing high-tech equipemt stopped them. She said that she was Hunter J and was taking Rocky's Lucario. She used here petrify beam on Lucario before Rocky had a chance to call him back. J left a note explaining how he would get his Lucario back. The note said "In order to get your Pokemon back, you will have to come to the Shrine of Ice Pokemon." The note also said that they would have a Pokemon double battle. If Rocky won, he would get Lucario back plus one of J's Pokemon. If Rocky lost, he would still get Lucario back, but at a price. Rocky took a rest at the nearest Pokemon Center. As Rocky was signing in to the PC, Nurse Joy asked for his name. He answered "Rocky Vee." Everyone gathered around him, asking for his autograph. Rocky's parents were legendary trainers. They collected legendary Pokemon. Before they died, they released all of their Pokemon into the wild. They died during a mission to destroy Team Darkness' Destroyer. It had the ability to tear apart molecules of anything. They had to resort to a self-destruct tactic, they activated a bomb and place it on to themselves while next to the Destroyer. This made Rocky the sole inhiereter to the Vee fortune: 100,000 dollars and a mystery egg(Lucario's egg). Rocky sent out all of his Pokemon and told everyone to back off. The next day, Rocky headed towards the Shrine of Ice Pokemon. As he entered the shrine he saw statues of Sneasel. They looked almost life-like. Hunter J was waiting in front of two statues, one of Articuno and one of Regice. J had Lucario in a petrified state. J and Rocky sent out their Pokemon. J sent out Salamence and Drapion. Rocky sent out Arcanine and Houndoom. Salamence made every Pokemon, including Drapion, faint with an Earthquake attack. J got Lucario out of petrification and stole Arcanine and Houndoom instead. She left with her prizes. Rocky hugged Lucario. Lucario blushed. "I thought I'd never see you again." Rocky told Lucario while crying. Lucario started crying too. After they stopped, they remembered that 2 of Rocky's Pokemon were gone. They headed back to the PC. Nurse Joy was waiting outside the center, holding a Pokeball with a note on it. The note said "Rocky, by now, you must be a successful trainer and if your not you will be one. I want you to have my favorite Pokemon. Love ya little bro, Bruno." Bruno is Rocky's older brother but no one knows that because Bruno kept quiet about it. Rocky sent out the Pokemon. It was a Machamp. It wasn't Bruno's Machamp because it had markings all over its body. Rocky didn't know what the markings were for. He would soon find out. Rocky thought that his Pokemon should practice before going to Oreburgh City. It was Lucario versus Machamp. As they were fighting, Machamp's markings flew off his body and spun straight toward Lucario. It was a Razor Wind attack. Rocky called the attack off. "Nice job, Machamp. You too, Lucario." In 1 day, they would be in Oreburgh City.
