Chapter 2 Disclaimer: I don’t own Pokemon. I wish I did, but I don’t. I rode furiously through forests and towns, villages and cities. My legs were killing me, but my goal would be worth it… or so I hoped. Ash was all I could think about, tears burning my eyes. Sometimes they were for joyous reasons, such as how it would feel to finally tell Ash my love and what it would be like to be with him. Thoughts of our possible first kiss passed through my mind. The very thought of me being anywhere close to Ash’s tender lips made my lips quiver, and I blushed. Further on, I began to think of something that really made me blush. I thought of us making love, and all the blood rushed to my head, making me unable to think or see for a little bit. Of course, sadder envisions and ideas passed through my head. I knew that Ash and I could never be married. The thought upset me a little. Though the worst was the fact that the community and churches would shun us, and hurtful things would be cursed our way. I began to cry much harder now. Could I really put Ash through that? Could I? No. He’s been through too much already, most of it thanks to me. I closed my eyes and hung my head in shame, fresh, hot tears streaming down my cheeks. I was such a bastard. After many hours of cursing myself and thinking of Ash, I finally reached the dock where I would be able to rent a boat. It was nearly noon and I was feeling pretty hungry. My Eevee needed some fresh air, too. I took one of my Pokeballs from my belt and released a small, brown and beige, fox-like Pokemon with a bushy tail known as Eevee. ‘Well, Evui, wanna get some lunch?” It mewed happily at me, its big, navy-blue eyes sparkling at me. He somehow reminded me of Ash and I felt more tears coming on, though I quickly wiped them away. Evui and I walked over to a small café, leaving my bike outside, of course. The interior of the restaurant wasn’t very elegant. Shabby was more the word for it. I wasn’t bothered though, and took my seat next to a girl on one of the black, cushioned bar stools. The man at the counter took my order, which was herbal tea and fried rice, while Evui had Pokechow. “Herbal tea, huh?” said the girl who was sitting next my Pokemon and I. Her voice was very pretty. “They say when you drink herbal tea, you’re trying to relieve your troubles. Was something bothering you?” Her golden eyes sparkled with concern. They were beautiful. I seemed to notice something peculiar about them, though. The pupils were slit, very much like a cat’s. She was a bit cross-eyed, too. Her hair was a shimmering sky blue and she was well-built. Her dress attire was a small, really tight sky blue halter-top, and very tiny green shorts. She would have been just like any other girl, if it weren’t for the fact that she was sprouting a long, blue, bushy tail, very much like my Eevee’s. She had pointed blue cat ears, whiskers, and even claws and fur. I began to wonder if she was a Pokemon. I blushed as I looked at her. She was very hot. “Hello?” she was waving her tan, furry, blue clawed hand, er, paw in my face. “Oh! I’m sorry, not to be rude, but I couldn’t help noticing your-“ I had begun to say, but she cut me off. “Lemme guess. You couldn’t help but stare at my eyes, my fangs, my fur, my hair, my ears, my tail, my everything?!” “I don’t mean it like that!” I said, panicking. I didn’t want to insult someone I had just met! “No need to get so serious!” She said, bursting out laughing. I looked at her with a puzzled look on my face. “I was joking around with you! You’ll find that I do that a lot. I don’t blame you for staring at me, though,” she said “You don’t?” “Of course not. I’m just so cute!” I fell over with a sweatdrop. “Anyway, everybody stares at me. It’s in my race. I’m an Element Sprite, and obviously, my element is water and ice,” she explained. “Ha, ha. I see. Do you train any Pokemon?” I asked, trying to start a conversation. “Not really. I just keep them as pets. I’m so tired of having to dodge Pokeballs this way and that, just trying to avoid being caught! I am not a blasted Pokemon! But it can’t be helped when you look as I do.” She sighed and then looked straight into my eyes. “What’s your name, anyway?” “It’s Gary. Shigeru Gary Oak. What’s yours? “My name? Gee, even I don’t remember! It’s been so long since I’ve ever been asked this question. I believe that it’s Zangora. Zangora Ikari, that’s it! Now, it seems like something is bothering you, and the proof I have to back up my theory is the herbal tea you ordered,” she said as our items were brought to us. It turned out that Zangora had ordered the same thing as I did. I chuckled silently to myself at this. “C’mon, Shigeru! Please tell me?” she begged me. I was shocked. Hardly anybody called me by my first name. It was an odd but nice sensation being with this girl. “Why should I open up to you? I just met you today, after all,” I grinned. ‘How do I know you’re not some criminal or stalker?” “You can trust me, Shigeru, you’ll just have to take my word for it,” she replied. I had a nice feeling go throughout my body at when she said my name. “Aw, you’ve won me over. Okay, there’s someone that I’m feeling for, but I’ve been mean to him all my life. I’ve finally decided enough was enough and I was going to tell him today, but I’m afraid he might not love me the same way, or hate me even more for being who I am… For being bisexual,” I hesitated the last part. I didn’t realize that Zangora may not like me anymore either. I was scared to find out her reaction. I looked into her eyes, mine wide with tears, and said honestly, “Do you think I’m strange?” “Of course not, Shigeru-San. If your love rejects you, I want you to know that I’ll always be here for you,” she said softly in a way that made me feel funny again. She took my hands in hers and touched them lightly. She pulled me into an embrace and then kissed me lightly on the lips. I was frozen stiff. I didn’t know what to say, I mean, we had just met an hour or less ago. I was feeling really good, and really red. Was I attracted to Zan- Chan as I was Ash? What about her? Was she just playing around? Judging by the look in her eyes, somehow I didn’t think so… I took a sip from my tea. It was rather sweet, in my opinion. Or was it the aftertaste of Zangora’s kiss? “So, what’s bothering you, Zan-Chan?” I asked calmly. “Huh? What do you mean?” she asked, flattening her ears. “Well, you ordered tea also. Was it not you who said that tea was used to clear your mind of troubles, or something of that sort?” “Why, yes I did. Don’t tell me you believe that! I just could tell by your eyes something was wrong when you walked in, that’s all,” she replied. I felt pretty dumb and embarrassed at the moment. “Anyway,” I continued, “What are you going to do after this?” I asked, picking up my chopsticks, snapping tem in half, and beginning to eat. “Nothing. I have nowhere to go, no family, nowhere to live, no nothing,” Zangora miserably said, hanging her head in sadness. Damn, now I had really gone and done it. An idea suddenly popped in my head and I put my arm around her waist. “What if you came with me to the Houenn Region? Would you like that?” I asked. “Shigeru, really? Are you sure? Is it really all right? How does you Eevee feel about it?” She said, seeming pretty excited. I turned to Evui. “What do you think boy? Can she come?” The little Eevee mewed happily and jumper on her shoulder. “You see to be a good person. Otherwise, Evui wouldn’t have been so happy otherwise. They say Pokemon have a sixth sense about these things,” I said knowingly. “Thank you, Shigeru! I love you,” she said as I was pulled into a spine- crushing embrace. She was pretty tall, so I ended up smushed in her breasts. They were sort of smothering me, but I didn’t care. Her hug was warm and sincere. And I wouldn’t have to travel alone anymore… Sorry this wasn’t very long either… I’ll try harder next chappy! Peace until then!
