Okay, here's my first attempt at a Linkin Park songfic. And I don't own Pokémon 
or the song Don't Stay by Linkin Park.

He thought he had it all. He thought his life was perfect, until he saw the truth. 
The truth about his girlfriend May. He knew he should have changed his mind 
when he had the chance. He never knew that this was May's intention:
 
To take control of Ash's life, to turn him into something else.
 
Ash could have had Misty, but he rejected her at the last second, going for May 
instead. Until he realized what May was doing.
 
It was a perfect Sunday afternoon in Pallet Town, and Ash was having breakfast, 
when May came downstairs.
 
"So Ash, what's the surprise you have for me?" May asked in the fake sweet 
voice that she used on him all the time.
 
"Oh, you'll see soon enough. And nothing will ruin it!"
 
After breakfast, Ash snuck out of the house and ran to Cerulean City. He got to 
the Gym and he saw Misty.
 
"Misty, it's almost time for the you-know-what!" Ash said. "Hurry up or we're 
gonna be late!" 
 
"Okay Ash, but tell me a little more about what you have planned for her." Misty 
said.
 
"I'm gonna sing a song just for her. It's the perfect song for her. And at the end, 
it'll be over between us. Then, our relationship can begin."
 
"You mean you still love me?" Misty asked. "I thought you hated me. It seemed 
that way when you picked May over me."
 
"I never knew that May would act like this. Now I see that her testing me is 
pushing me away. (Yeah, had to add that from Pushing Me Away) And I also see 
that you're the only one for me."
 
"Oh Ash, I still love you too. And I want to be with you."
 
"After this, we'll be together. I promise."
 
About 10 minutes later, they left for Pallet Town. May was already waiting at the 
park by the stage. Everything was set up.
 
"Ash?!" May said in disbelief. "You brought HER too?!"
 
"Yes May, and you're about to find out why."
 
He went on top of the stage and the music began. Then he started to sing the 
lyrics:

When the song was finally over, Ash looked at May. She had tears in her eyes. 
Misty, on the other hand, looked extremely happy. Ash also felt happy. He now 
knew that him and Misty were meant to be.
 
"Well May, that's your surprise. And here's another: I'm through with you! Just 
get out of my life for good!"
 
May just ran out of the park without saying a word. Ash went over to Misty.
 
"See Misty? Now we can be together. And no one, not even May, will ever 
separate us. I just wished I realized that you were the one for me sooner. Then 
we could have already been together."
 
"No big deal, Ash." Misty said. "At least we're together now. That's all that 
matters."
 
So Ash and Misty walked out of the park, ready to go on their first date.
 
Looks like Ash got Misty in the end. Too bad for May. ::does that anime taunt 
where you pull an eyelid down and stick out tongue:: Er…just ignore me and my 
hatred for May and review! ^_^
