Nic, Brian and I were still on our way to Hieroglyph Town, and we found 
ourselves in a forest.
 
"Are we ever gonna get there?" Brian asked. "It feels like we've been walking 
forever."
 
"Well maybe if some people weren't so sure of themselves, we'd be there by 
now!" I yelled.
 
Nic turned around. "Are you implying that I don't know how to read a map?"
 
"No, I'm implying that you're an idiot and that you can't read a map!"
 
"Do you two always argue?" Brian asked. "If I didn't know better, I'd say you two 
were in love!"
 
"WE ARE NOT IN LOVE!" Nic and I both yelled at the same time.
 
"I beg to differ." Brian said.
 
Suddenly, we heard someone in the bushes. Two people came out and I 
instantly recognized them. They were two of my best friends, Peter and Billy.
 
"Hey guys!" I said.
 
"Courtney! I see you started your Pokémon journey too!" Billy said. "And it looks 
like you and Nic are arguing again. Why can't you just admit that you love each 
other?"
 
"Billy, you will never get it, will you?" I asked. "I can't stand him! I despise him! 
There is no way we could ever be in love!!!!!"
 
"Make that double for me!" Nic screamed. "I hate her more than I hate Team 
Lightning!"
 
"I'd rather date Ryan Cabrera! At least he's hot and way nicer than you!"
 
"You actually like him?!"
 
"Yeah, I like him. But why do YOU care, hmm?"
 
"Um…no reason." Nic said quickly, blushing slightly.
 
Peter joined in. "Obviously Courtney, he's jealous of you liking Ryan Cabrera 
because he wants you. The same way you want him."
 
"What the hell are you all thinking?! I…don't…love…Nic! Never have, never will! I 
don't even know why we're friends!
 
"Guys…are we EVER going to Hieroglyph Town?" Brian asked impatiently. "Who 
cares if you guys are really in love? You've wasted enough time! Look! It's 
already dark out! Guess that means we gotta camp here."
 
"Fine. Whatever. I don't care." I said. "I've got better things to do than argue with 
a total idiot, anyway. Let's just set up camp. Peter, Billy, I guess you can join us 
on our journey. I'll need more people besides useless Brian and that other idiot."
 
Peter and Billy agreed, and we set up camp.
 
About an hour later, everyone went to bed. Except for me. I just sat up on the hill, 
thinking. 'Maybe they're right. Maybe I do love Nic. I mean, we've never fought 
before. I wonder why we've started now. We've always been friends, but we've 
never done anything like this. And even if I do love him, he'd never love me back. 
Especially after everything we said today. So there's really no point in wanting 
him.'
 
I started to get tired, so I went back to the camp. I got out my Walkman, but 
noticed that my Ryan Cabrera CD was missing!
 
"ALRIGHT, WHO TOOK IT?!" I yelled at no one in particular. "Betcha Nic took it 
for revenge! Well, he's gonna pay big time!"
 
I ran out to his tent, when suddenly, I heard one of the songs on the CD. It was 
the one called True. 'Don't tell me he's listening to True. It's a love song 
about…wanting someone you think doesn't even notice you! Does he…love 
me…the same way I love him?' I thought. 'Oh well. I'll ask him tomorrow. And I 
can get my CD back then, too.'
 
I started to walk back to my tent, when I ran into a Paras. It looked pretty strong, 
so I decided to capture it.
 
"Go, Ponyta!" I shouted.
 
Ponyta came out of its Poké Ball.
 
"Now Ponyta, use Stomp on that Paras!"
 
It was a critical hit! But then, it tried using Stun Spore!
 
"Not Stun Spore! Hurry, Ponyta! Use Sunny Day to blind it!"
 
It worked, and Paras was blinded for a second. I knew that this would be the 
perfect chance to capture it.
 
"Poké Ball, go!" I yelled.
 
It shook for a while and eventually, it stopped.
 
"Yes! I caught a Paras!" By then, I was exhausted, so I finally went to bed, not 
knowing what fate had planned for the next day.

Will the secret finally be revealed? Will the arguing stop at last? Will they EVER 
get to Hieroglyph Town? I don't know, but the next part does. Review! ^_^
