Futures Past By: Zapdos1Alpha zapdos1alpha@hotmail.com AAMRN Part 6 ~ ~ ~ ~ The morning sun had risen high into the sky, all the trainers from around Kanto were waiting for ash's word. With the sun blazing ash and misty stepped to the lead of the main attacking group. Ash looked around for a brief moment and then thumbed the key of the radio he had. It was keyed to a special frequency on the pokegear radios many of the trainers had and were tuned to it. Unknown to Ash and the others an older gentleman with silver hair had crept up behing them and joined the group of trainers. "Attention all trainers. In a few moments we will begin the assault on this final base of team rocket. The main complexes in the orange islands and Jhoto have fallen. This is in thanks to the hard work of trainers of those regions. It is now up to us to finish the job. I know the battle will be hard. As Pokemon trainers I know you are all used to adversity. I know you are up to the task at hand. I know we will win. As with the Orange Islands and Jhoto bases our signal to go will be very evident. Good luck to us all" he said strongly. "Very well said young man." The silvered haired gentleman said. "Who are you?" Gary asked hotly. "You look very familiar to me" "And I should. Since it was my gym that you took from me." He replied back. But it wasn't you that actually beat me. It was you Mr. Ketchum. You defeated me three times, the last made me take a strong look at myself and at what I was doing. It was then Team Rocket was disbanded." "Giovanni!" Ash exclaimed in shock. The Officer Jenny that was nearby immediately went to detain Giovanni but ash stopped her. "Why are you here? Why now? And Why aren't you in there?" he asked while motioning his thumb over his shoulder and to the base. "I'm here because I want to atone for the sins I have done against all people, trainers and pokemon. I'm here now because I didn't organize all this. I'm here to help stop Team Rocket for good. That answers all three of your questions. But I think I know who is in there. Two bumbling idiots that I thought were smart enough to not try and pull team rocket back together. But they did and now we all have to deal with them." He replied. "So are we going to start battling or what?" "Yeah we are going to start." Ash said. "Officer Jenny, I believe that Giovanni will give himself up after we have finished here." Giovanni nodded yes. "Good, then lets start." Ash switched his radio over to another frequency and keyed the mike. Seconds later the communications tower that was behind the gym exploded and fell. Sequential explosions rocked the outer walls of the gym blowing holes into the fortress like structure. The trainers seeing the signal attacked hard, but team rocket was ready for them. They had time to gear up and prepare for the offensive. Ash realized that when the rockets main base lost contact with the bases in the orange islands and Jhoto they would have began preparations. The attacks were hard the battles long, it was in short a nightmare. Ash and his companions were right in the thick of it all. The battle raged on and on, Giovanni was there battling with the trainers. Team Rocket members that saw him gave up on the spot, knowing that their leader was not coming back. Others didn't care and wanted to keep on living their evil lives. Butch and Cassidy were some of those. Misty was battling them Starmie was doing a great job. Butch and Cassidy pulled their last pokemon out of the attack just as starmie fired it. It was a brutal hydropump attack and it hit Butch and Cassidy dead on. The force of the blast rammed them both into jagged pieces of fortress wall. Butch didn't survive the attack and Cassidy was knocked unconscious. Ash shook his head and kept battling. Hours had past and the battle was still raging and it looked like team rocket was winning. Trainers kept having to reheal their pokemon after nearly every battle because the pokemon were so tired. Ash finally had enough and called a group together. "This is not going well" He said to Misty, Brock, Sam, Dennis and Gary. "No its not son." Dennis replied while coughing "That's why I have a wild plan." Ash said. "Sam, Gary, How many people can your alakazams teleport in one go?" "Mine about fifteen." Gary Replied quickly "Been a while but at last try about twenty-five." Sam said. "Okay Gary. Counting you, me, misty and dennis round up some freshly healed trainers and pokemon and meet us outside the wall in a few minutes. We are going to start hitting this base from the inside out. Try a little flanking tecnique. Same goes for brock and sam." Ash said quickly. "We don't know the lay out of that base." Sam said. "True. But if you look into that main door where all the rockets are coming out. There is one long hallway there. I'd say about 300 feet in length. If we can get to the end of the hall the rest of you can attack from the inside out. Misty, Dennis, Gary, and myself will go further into the base and try to take out the head instigators of all this. It's the only way of winning." Ash replied and the group broke up and met soon after outside the base. Ash did a quick head count and found that more trainers had wanted in on the plan. A few of them even had Alakazam that could transport more trainers. This worked well to their advantage. "Professor, Gary can you get all the trainers with alakazam and get them over here." Ash asked hurriedly. The two men nodded and set about the task. Soon there were five total trainers waiting for instructions. "Okay. As we all know Alakazam has teleport abilities. It can return the trainer and itself back to any place it has seen or been. Well we are going to ask our Alakazam to do that transport into an unknown area. It is dangerous, but needs to be done. Our target is about five hundred feet to the north. Almost to the end of that main hallway of the rocket base. We need to flank team rocket and hit them from both sides." Ash said. "Each group will teleport in five minutes behind the last. That will give the previous group time to move. Lets go." The trainers rallied and separated into groups a couple of people smaller than what their respected alakazam could teleport. Ash's group was first to leave. It was also the biggest. All the trainers had a pokeball out ready to call the strongest of the team for battle. "When your ready Proffessor." Ash said as pikachu scampered up onto his shoulder. "Alakazam, look into the base. Teleport us to the end of that hallway. I know you can do it." Sam said forcefully. "Alakazam, Teleport." "Zam." It replied and its eyes glowed. The world around the group faded and the base came into view. The pokemon had done it. It teleported the group into the base perfectly. The group moved quickly and shortly after gary's small group appeared. Gary took the bulk of the trainers and started to attack Team Rocket from behind. The rockets didn't know what to think and soon found themselves pinned with nowhere to go. Ash, Misty, Brock, Sam, and Dennis with a few trainers headed deeper into the base. They found that the majority of the rockets were already outside and battling. With the flanking attack it wouldn't be long before the base fell. They soon came to a dead end in the base. But ash knew different. He could see the faint separation of wall to door. "Everyone get back around the corner and stay there until I call for you." Ash said seriously. "What is it Ash?" Misty asked concerned "We have to blast through this door." He replied. "I don't want you all to be caught in the blast." "What about you?" she asked in a frightened voice. "I'll be fine. Now go please." He replied "Pikachu, get ready buddy." "Pika" he replied and took a position up in front of the door. "Okay pikachu. Give me the biggest and baddest thunder bomb you can against that door." Ash said softly. "Pikapi, Pika" he replied already starting to power up. Ash backed away so he could see everyone in his perifrial vision. "Okay. Pikachu, Thunder Bomb." Ash yelled and dived for cover. In the distance they could hear the small electric mouse draw energy out of the conduits that lined the walls. "Piiiiiiiiiiiii……" it started, the sound of the energy was deafening. "KAAAAAAAAAAA……." The small mouse continued a glow so intense that the group had to shield their eyes while covering their ears. "CHUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" the rodent screamed and the flash was enormous, but the explosion that followed knocked all them to the floor and shook the base as a whole. Pikachu came around the corner and saw everyone on the floor. "Cha." He said in apology. "What are you apologizing for?" Ash questioned. "You did exactly as I asked you to." Ash looked back and saw that everyone else was okay and he turned the corner. The smoke was just clearing and he saw the door was blasted through. Nodding he stepped through it. The room was dark. The only place that was lit was two seats in the middle of the room. In the seats as a long dark blue haired man and a long red haired woman. Between the two was a persain. "Jessie and James. I should have known it was you. For all the times that you helped out misty and myself. I thought that you were turning over a new leaf. But it was you that ordered my death." Ash said hotly. "Ash." James said in disbelief. "Ash Ketchum. We were notified that you were dead." "He. Well your information was wrong." Ash said. "And this will be the last time we meet. Because you will be laving here in handcuffs and going to jail, or you won't be leaving here at all. I'm tired of your threats on me, on my friends, and on my family." "Then we battle twerp." Jessie said. "Go Slaking" "Go Victreebel" James said. "Charizard, go." Ash said defiantly. "Charizard attack." Charizard roared with approval for being set free to attack and began. The battle went badly for ash as charizard was knocked cold with a single hit from Slaking, But not before roasting victreebel with a flamethrower attack. Ash continued to call out pokemon. But Jessie had trained her Slaking well. It was stronger that the pokemon that ash had with him. It was tough hours after the battle began ash was down to pikachu. Misty was the last of the group standing with celebi left. The others all battled and lost their pokemon to the fierce battle. "Ash I have a radical idea." Misty said. "call out pikachu. I'll let you know when to attack." "Okay mist." Ash replied. "Pikachu stay close. But your up." "Pikapi. Pi pikachu" it replied and ran out. They could hear James laughing. "Out of all your powerful trainers, you are the last two. Team Rocket is even more powerful than the world renown Pokemon Master and his little wife." James said. "Give up now and join us. Save yourself from being crushed." "Not on your life James." Misty replied hotly. "Fine." Jessie said. "Slaking Obliterate" "Sla." It replied and began its most powerful attack. Just as it fired misty yelled. "Celebi Time stop." She screamed and the small pokemon responded. Time froze for all but ash, misty, pikachu and celebi. Ash looked on in amazement. There he saw the attack from slaking frozen. The many colors of the attack were pretty but he stopped admiring it. Looking to Misty she nodded. "Pikachu, I want your thunder bomb again. Like you did before on the door. Move out of slakings attack first before you fire it. Launch it directly at slaking, Jessie and James." Ash said. "Pi pikachu?" he asked. "Yes it may kill them. But at this point buddy its us or them. I prefer us." Ash replied. "Its okay pikachu. Thunder Bomb now." Pikachu hesitated for a few moments. Seeing the attack start to slowly move he knew he had to act. Ash and Misty moved to the side out of slaking's attack. They watched as pikachu moved too and began to power up. Jessie and James watched as ash and misty disappeared. Slaking's attack flashed through but didn't hit anyone. "Slaking, wait for them to reappear then use obliterate again." Jessie said sternly. "Slaking" it replied and waited. "What is that Jessie?" James asked pointing to a ball of light just in front of them. "I don't know James?" She replied. They sat and watched the light get bigger and brighter. Pikachu was just beginning to power up. Drawing the electricity from the room around him. He was glowing so brightly that ash and misty had to shield their eyes. Then they heard the small mouse begin the attack. "PIIII." He said. Ash detected and anger in his pokemons voice that was never there before. Time was getting faster. Misty was getting ready to recall the time stop attack. "KAAAAA.." Ash could hear the anger building as pikachus power increased. He had never seen him this angry. Time returned to normal as pikachu fired off the attack. "CHUUUUUUUU!!!" Jessie and James heard the mouse scream as the group became visible. From the size of the attack they knew there was nothing that could be done. They watched it come and hit Slaking. The pokemon was enveloped in an expanding ball of light. The two looked at each other as the light encompassed them. The blast was again deafening. The base shook again. "What in the hell was that?" Gary said outside. He was helping the Officer Jenny's and the police round up the last of Team Rocket. "Felt like a thunder bomb from pikachu." Brock replied to him. "Must have been one hell of a big one." Gary replied in awe. "I hope they are okay down there." The dust settled, ash and misty were both beginning to stir. They looked up and saw slaking had took the brunt of the blast. The pokemon was dead. Ash looked for Jessie and James. He found them. They were both by the back wall of the room. He knelt down by them and checked for a pulse. Frowning slightly he didn't find one on either of them. "Ash?" Misty asked "Dead." He replied "No ash. Its pikachu." She said. Ash hurried over to find his little pokemon fainted. "It's the strength he put into the attack. We need to get him to a Nurse Joy now." He said as he picked up pikachu and took off running down the hall. Misty was right behind him. Together they raced back to the surface. As they came out of the base there was a loud cheer for them. Ash didn't listen. He continued his run all the way to the healing tent. "Nurse Joy." He said in a very concerned tone. "Bring him here." She replied. Ash did and laid him down on the scanner table. "It will be a while. I'll send for you in any event." She hurried and began to scan pikachu. Ash turned and walked outside. He headed back down to the base and found everyone still waiting for him. Including a very angry looking Officer Jenny and a calm Giovanni. "Young man, Thank you." Giovanni said. Because of you I can now pay for my crimes. I want to give you this disk. When you can look at it, it will explain why I'm here far better than I can right now." He finished and turned to Officer Jenny. "Miss you may now do your job." He finished and placed his hands gently behind his back with no resistance at all. Officer Jenny cuffed him and led him away. It was a few days later and Ash returned from picking up Pikachu. Ash had looked at the video disk that Giovanni had given him. He forwarded most of the disk off to the media and they had been playing the clip repeatedly for the last couple of days. Ash and Misty were getting ready to go to Giovanni's home and retrieve all the pokemon that were left there. It was doubtful that they could be rehabilitated but they had to try. "Mommy, Daddy!!" Sarah came into the room screaming. "Can I come with you?" I don't want to stay with Uncle Brock." "No Honey you can't." Misty said chuckling. "But we will be back real soon." "Okay. I love you!" Sarah replied. "We love you too Sarah." Ash replied as he hugged his little girl. And walked out the door. Misty soon followed. A few days later Ash and Misty were back in Indigo. They had gotten all the pokemon from Giovanni's and had started the rehabilitation. It was going to take a long time but they knew that they had it now. Team Rocket was gone for good. All of its members were in jail or dead. Life had been fixed thanks to a small time travel pokemon. Ash and Misty had shared everything together and wasn't going to stop until old age took them from this world. ~ ~ ~ ~ Finished. Review and let me know. Thanks all for sticking with me.
