With a sigh he sat down and his mind began to race. Misty sat down next to him and gently took his hand. He turned and smiled softly at her and then turned back to the windows. "I can't help but wonder..." He said softly "Wonder about what ash?" Misty asked softly but already knowing what he was thinking because she to was thinking the same thing. "About life here, especially if there is no way to get us home." Ash said with a touch of sadness in his voice. "We've only been here a day, but I already miss my mom, professor oak, tracey and the rest. Hell misty I even miss your sisters." "I know ash. I can't help but wonder too." She replied and laid her head on his shoulder. "It's about time you two." Brock said laughing. Both ash and misty blushed furiously because they forgot that he was there. "Well what about you and Morra?" Misty questioned him with a devilish grin and sparkle in her eye. Brock turned many different shades of red as he blushed hard and gulped a few times. "Well..." He stammered out. "I don't know. All I know is that this is so entirely different because I haven't went nuts for her like I do with nurse joy, officer jenny, or any other pretty girl." "Brock it just means that you have fallen for her and you want to show her your best face before you make a fool of yourself." Ash replied nonchalantly. "Ash!!!" Misty exclaimed and began laughing. Brocks face fell and he slid down the wall next to the door groaning in embarrassment. Ash yawned all of a sudden. And the three realized that they were still tired. They all turned in for a short rest. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Down in engineering the atmosphere was one of charged excitement as Lt. Morra went about her duties. Lt. Commander Geordi LaForge noticed this but approved because Morra was getting her work done. He turned his attention back to his display boards in his office and with a quick glance they told him all was well with the Enterprise. He tuned his attention to a PADD he held. 'Why would Q send them here' he softly muttered to himself as Data walked in. "That Geordi is what we are attempting to answer" Data replied. Geordi laughed and shook his head. "Data I know that your hearing is, well super human. But I was muttering to myself. It was a question formed for me to answer as I was looking over Dr. Crushers readings." He replied good naturedly. "I see. I am sorry for the intrusion." Data said with a tone of concern. "No trouble Data. What can I do for you?" Geordi asked. "I find Dr. Crushers results disturbing. I have compiled a complete search of all Starfleet databases and am unable to find any method, both real or hypothetical, that will recreate the radiation and temporal flux that were found both in the captain or the children. I do not see a way of getting them home." Data replied in a bit of distress. "So your worried that they will be stuck here forever." Geordi confirmed in simpler terms, and outside the door of the office Morra had stopped her work to listen and she did not like what she heard at all. She cared deeply for Brock and his friends, But mostly for Brock. She did want them to be returned to their own time and dimension, but deep down she cheered because it gave her an opportunity to convince one of them to stay with her. Geordi noticed the change in her instantly with his bionic eyes. And it concerned him deeply. "Can you excuse me for a while Data. A member of my staff and I have a date with Councilor Troi." Geordi said softly "By all means Geordi." Data replied and looked through the glass at Morra. With her back to them she was oblivious as to what took place. The door to the office slid quietly shut and Geordi contacted Councilor Troi. She said she was free for the next couple of hours and would be right down. With a nod Data left the office. Geordi sighed and closed his eyes. 'This task of getting the kids home just got a lot harder.' He thought to himself a few moments later Councilor Troi breezed into engineering and right past Morra. Bolians were so open to Deanna Troi that she had to calm herself slightly as she passed Morra and entered the office. It was only a few moments later when she was called. "Lt. Morra, Please come in here." Geordi said loud enough so she would here. As she entered she smiled softly at Geordi and Councilor Troi. "What can I do for you, Commanders." She said with the military precision that was drilled into her at the academy. "It isn't what you can do for us Lieutenant. But more of what we can do for you." Geordi replied in kind. "And please will you just stand down and be at ease." Morra relaxed significantly. "Morra its been brought to my attention that you may need to talk." Deanna said in a soothing musical voice. Morra looked from Geordi, to Deanna and back again several times over before she spoke. "I do need to talk." Morra began. "I know that Brock, Ash and Misty are here from somewhere so completely different, both in time and space. But I can't help the feelings I am having for one of them inparticular." "Let me guess, that would be Brock." Geordi said softly and the look on Morras face as well as small tattle tales he could see with his bionic eyes gave it away. "Yes commander." She replied softly. "Morra we can not tell you how to conduct your life." Deanna said gently. "But we do ask that you stay mindful of where, and when they are from, The time and place you live in and the feelings of all involved." "And to not let it affect your job functions on this ship." Geordi added. "I don't want you to try to convince them to stay here, if we find a way to get them home. Are we understood?" "Yes commanders. I understand fully." Morra replied with sorrow in her voice. "If you want to spend time with Brock and his friends we see no harm in it as long as you do what we have asked." Deanna said with understanding. Morra's attitude sparked back up quickly with that information given to her. "Thank you commanders." She replied happily. "Go finish your work. You only have an hour left before your off duty." Geordi said excusing her and she returned to her work with tenacity. It was some time before Councilor Troi left Geordi's office but she paused next to Morra and spoke softly. "I was young like you once and met a Starfleet officer whom I never could get enough of. So I know what you are going through right now. Be mindful of who you are and who he is." Deanna said gently then continued on her way before Morra could reply. She shook her head gently and continued with her work. It was a few minutes before shift change when Morra finished her report to Commander La Forge and filed it. She sighed and leaned back rolling the tension from her small shoulders. At that moment Commander La Forge walked out of his office and came over to her. "Lt. Morra. Please remember what we asked of you. Also if you can gather anymore information from Brock and his friends please don't hesitate to relay it to myself or Commander Data. Any piece of information you may get may help us get them home." Geordi said gently to her. "I will Commander. I've been thinking about quite a few things since our talk earlier. I don't want to see them leave, but I know that it is for the best that they get to go home if we can find a way. But like you and councilor Troi said. I can spend as much time with them as possible and enjoy the time we may have together." She replied to Geordi calmly, but with a huge smile on her face. "That is the way to be Morra." Geordi responded. "You're dismissed go enjoy your time off." With that she practically ran out of main engineering. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Ash had woken up and was sitting staring at the star field out of the view ports. Some time while they rested the ship had dropped out of warp and another ship was hanging out in space facing the enterprise. Ash noticed it was a federation ship but one of vastly different construction. It was a lot smaller. What was going on for sure ash didn't know but deep down he knew that it would concern them sooner or later. He stared out at the ship for a while before he turned back to making his journal entry. Ash pressed the record button for his journal in his pokedex. Thankfully the light came on indicating it was recording. "Well this entry will be a bit awkward. Brock, Misty and I were pulled into a strange light in the Ilex Forest. This light transported us to another time and place. The date when we left was July 26, 2002. We were thrust 377 years into the future to the day. The date now is July 26, 2379. It's hard to believe but it is happening. We are aboard the Starship Enterprise. Right now the crew is attempting to find a way for all of us to get back home to our normal time and place, but we have been told that it may not be possible. I miss everyone back home, but I am ready to face this new place with the same spirit that I face our travels. On a good note I don't have to face it alone anymore. Sure Brock and Misty were always there but there was something missing. Well that something missing has been found. Misty and I have finally confessed our feelings for each other, to each other. Everything has been so much better. We haven't fought at all, we are more at ease with each other and have been more open. It has even taken this place and time for Brock to find himself. There is an alien Lieutenant here that has caught his eye. He hasn't gone completely nuts for her like he does for nurse joy or officer jenny. Well that is all for now. I'll update again in the next day or two." Ash pressed the button on the pokedex again and it took a moment before it displayed that the entry was saved. Ash leaned back in the chair and looked out once more at the ship hanging in space and began thinking again as he waited for Brock and Misty to wake up. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Morra turned the corner and entered her quarters on deck 11. Her mind was on Brock and how to best spend time with him alone and with ash and misty too. She quickly changed and made her way to her new friends quarters on deck 10. As she rounded the corner deep in thought she didn't see Captain Picard coming around the bend at the same moment. They hit each other with enough force that morra was knocked to the floor. "Captain!" Morra exclaimed as she looked up. "Please excuse me sir. I didn't see you there." "Its all right lieutenant accidents do happen. But please be more mindful in the future." He responded as he helped her up." "Yes sir and thank you sir." Morra replied and side stepped the captain and continued on her way. Captain Picard signed and thought to himself a few things about kids then also turned and continued on his own way through the ship. Morra turned the corner and was soon at Ash, Misty and Brocks quarters. She took a deep breath and pressed the chime. She waited anticipation the door slid open to reveal misty. Inwardly Morra was dejected but she smiled on the outside and was cheerful. "Hi Misty are you guys ready to go?" "Oh!" Misty exclaimed as she saw morra standing there. "Morra, umm. I'm so very sorry. We forgot all about our meeting tonight. We all decided to get some rest. Please come in and I'll get Brock and Ash up. We'll be ready in a few minutes." "Its okay misty." Morra said sincerely. "You came here in your times night. You lost about twelve hours. I can wait for a few more minutes." "Morra I sure wish more people were more understanding like you." Misty said as she stepped back to let her into the room. Misty wasn't lying when she walked in she was assaulted be the worst sound she had heard. Looking to misty for confirmation, misty smiled back and spoke softly "That is just ash and pikachu they are the loudest. Brock is the one that you can barely hear." Morra watched as misty called out one of her pokemon and used it to drench all three. She laughed as she watched them startle awake. "Waa. Misty what was that for?" Ash yelled soaking wet. "Keep your voice down we have a guest, and I didn't want to try and wake you normal because I knew that it wouldn't work. Will you please zap brock because the bubble beam didn't work on him this time." Misty said quickly and quietly. Ash turned to look and saw Morra there. Understanding dawned on his face and he turned to pikachu. "Give brock a soft zap for us to wake him please." Ash asked of his pokemon. "Chu!" It replied and zapped brock awake in one small discharge. "OW!!!!!!" Brock exclaimed as the charge coursed through him. "I'm up, I'm up." He stated and sat up in bed. He looked over to ash and misty and glowered at them. His eyes strayed to the third person in the room and he realized it was Morra. He quickly looked down to his bare chest and threw the covers up to cover himself. He was blushing hard. He always slept with his shirt off. Ash and Misty was used to it. Morra thought he was tremendously gorgeous and giggled a little by his reaction. Morra turned around and allowed him a bit of privacy while he got his shirt back on. When he cleared his throat she turned back around. "Well everyone ready to go?" She asked politely. "Yeah lets go see your home Morra." Brock said enthusiastically. Ash and Misty both chuckled at him and he shot them both a look that said that if they messed this up he would first kill them then never ever forgive them. They all chatted together as they made their way to the holodeck. Along the way Morra spied Captain Picard again this time heading to his quarters, which were also on deck 10. She quickly moved to one side of the corridor and the rest followed. Captain Picard briefly acknowledged all of them and kept on his way. They made it to the holodeck a few moments later and Morra pulled up her home planet. It was breathtakingly awe inspiring to all three of her new friends. She told them all that there were many planets just a beautiful as hers in the federation and in the galaxy. She had the computer cycle through several of her favorites. All of them had their own beauty to them. But all of them were alien and didn't have Pokemon. It made Ash upset and misty could see it getting to him. "Morra do you mind if Ash and I went back to our quarters?" Misty asked in kindness. "It has been a trying day on us and though this has been fun we really just need to rest for now." "Sure Misty it isn't a problem." Morra cheered inwardly because it meant more time with brock alone. "Is everything okay misty?" Brock asked concerned. "Anything we all need to talk about?" "No Brock. I really think Ash and I need a little time alone. Please stay with Morra. There is no sense in all of us ruining her planned afternoon for us." Misty said with deep concern. Brock nodded and turned back to Morra. Morra called for the exit and it appeared just up a small hill from them. Ash and misty left the holodeck quickly, leaving a speechless brock behind. "Well Brock." Morra said softly. "We are alone now, what would you like to do first?" Brock stared down into her hauntingly blue eyes and smiled as he replied. "I honestly don't care right now." He reached down and took her hand in his as he said this and they turned back to the view of Q'onos. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Back in their quarters ash plopped down on the couch staring out at the small ship. Whatever business the Enterprise had with the ship was done for it was moving off. The way ash had sat down his back was to misty as she sat next to him. She wrapped him in a soft hug and laid her head against his back. "Ash I know its hard for you here. It's hard on all of us. I want you to know that your not alone and that I love you." She said quietly but knew that he had heard. Ash didn't reply but drew in a long shuddering breath and let it out slowly. Misty jerked her head up quickly, a look of shock on her face. "Ash are you okay?" She asked nervously, because she knew he was crying. Something she had only seen him do once before in the Orange Islands when he was the chosen one. Ash turned to her and there were trails leading down his cheeks where tears had run. She softly wiped them away as he looked softly at her. "Misty, I feel so lost right now. I said earlier, in my journal, that I'd meet this challenge as I had with our travels back home. But I don't know if I can. Even with you and Brock here with me." He said and began to cry again silently letting the tears come. "pikapi" Pikachu said and came over to the two. "Pika chu pi pi kachu" Ash chuckled a bit. "Thanks pikachu." He replied and pikachu curled up next to ash. Misty looked at ash expectantly. "He said that we had all of them too. So we weren't really alone here." Ash relayed to her. "That's true Ash." She said. With that ash's tears stopped and the feeling of determination coursed through him and it showed on his face. Misty cheered up at the sight of the ash she fell in love with. "In the morning we find out where we stand with the crew of the enterprise." Ash said. "And we'll find out how close we are to going home." ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Please read and review. Part 5 is on the way.
