Here's the next piece! I hope you enjoy it like the last one! There was a knock on the door to my quarters. "Come in,"I said without looking up. I'm not as skilled as Master Gennin when it comes to sensing another person, but I could read that this person was nervouse, tense. I could feel the heart beat as if it was a drum. It was fast, but steady. "Hello, Misty"I said, my back still to the door. She sat down next to me. "I can't sneak up on you anymore, huh?"she said, giggling. I chuckled. "Well, I havn't completely perfected it." "I hope I wasn't interrupting anything,"she said nervously. "No,"I said hastily. "I was just thinking." "Of him?" "Who him?" She just looked at me with those piercing blue eyes. It was as if she was staring through my soul. I sighed. You can't get anything passed Misty. It was like a sixth sense or something. That was one of the things I loved about her. "Yes. Him."I replied slowly. "Have you found anything?"she asked. "No,"I replied regretfully. "I've searched and searched, but I cannot find him. Gennin said that he's been sheilding himself from our connection. It's as if he's....vansished from the face of the earth. I can't explain it." I stood up and strode across the room to the computer. I booted up the pictures and started browsing through them. I felt Misty brush up behind me. I felt my face burn as I felt her so close to me. I smiled, looking up at her. She smiled back at me. "Ash, look,"she said, pointing back to the screen. I followed her gaze. On the screen was a picture we took in Pallet Town. My personal favorite. There was Mom, Prof. Oak, even Gary. And smack dab in the middle, arm in arm, was Brock, Misty and Me. I felt my heart burn at the sight of it. "I remember that day." "Who could ever forget it,"said Misty, looking down at me. "Ash?" I could see my ashen expression in the reflection of the moniter. It felt like a rock had dropped into my stomach. It now made sense. That's why I couldn't sense him. That's why. "Ash what's wrong?"said Misty, sounding extreamly concerned. "I know where he's going,"I said stonily. "He's going home." That's it for this section! Please don't forget to review! I always appreciate them! Well, until next time, Keep a stick on the ice!
