Hey again, here it is! Part 2!! Before you read this, I have only one thing to say: Kafraggen! Enjoy! I stared at him for a minute. "Come...with you?"I said slowly. "But why?" "The council would be interested in meeting you,"Zach said vaguely. "What do you mean,"I demanded nervously. "I can't say anything else, but that you should see the council." I looked back at the rest of the group. "Well, it couldn't hurt,"said Brock shrugging. "And it would be interesting." "I say go for it,"said Max. "Me too,"agreed May. "Well, we were trying to get to the Kanto region..."I said uncertain- ly. "But I suppose that can wait. Ok, we'll come." "Exellent!"Zach exclaimed. "And I'm sure that Sabrina will be glad to see you." "We'll be glad to see her, too,"I said excitedly. "We need to be moving as soon as possible,"said Zach. "What's the rush?"asked Max. "We don't want any more of those creatures on our tail,"Zach replied wisely. "We'll leave first thing in the morning." ------------ I was running down the corridor. Explosions everywhere. Everyone dead. Not knowing where I am. The figure in front of me, brandishing a sword the size of my body. Can't move, can't breath, no escape.... "Bad dream?" I hadn't even realized that I had awoken. Zach was meditating by the cherry tree. "Yeah,"I said in a would be casual voice. "Bad dream." "Must have been a doozy one for you to sweat like that,"said Zach, not even looking at me. My shirt was sticking to me, just like it did hours privously. "A wise man once told me,"said Zach. "That dreams are the spirits of long dead humans and pokemon communicating with us. Wether to warn us, to comfort us, or to even mess with our heads." He chuckled. "You should get back to sleep." I lied back down in my sleeping bag, but I was in no hurry to get back to sleep, if sleep was even possible. If what he said was true, and the spirits were communicating with me, they were having a swell time messing with my head. --------- "The creatures were destroyed." The color drained out of the soldiers face as he heard this. "I shall inform the chairman at once,"he replied. He was the one that reported to the chairman when something happend, good or bad. Lucky, wouldn't you say? He approached the door to the chairman's office, almost afraid to knock. The doors opened, and he was greeted with a deep sense of forbidding. The room was dark and frightening. Not many people saw the chairman, and even less wanted to. At a first sight of hope he thought the chairman wasn't in his office, but a feeling of dread swept over him as a dark figure rose from the corner. "Well?"said the figure sharply. "T-the creatures failed, sir,"said the soldier tentativly, as if expecting to be shot on sight. "They were all destroyed." But to his suprise, the chairman just laughed. "I expected nothing more,"he said coldly. "Those experiments were just fodder to test the phsy- cic's power." "There was some interference, sir,"said the soldier. "A kid and his pikachu." The chairman paused. "Very good, corpreal. Now be gone." The soldier didn't need telling twice. He left, leaving the chairman deep in thought. "So,"he whispered softly. "After all these years, I have found you again. I just hope He prepares you for what is coming..." -------------------- When we got up the next morning, Zach helped us prepare and pack our things. "The council already knows your coming,"he told us. "As soon as your ready, I'll take you there." "Everything's packed,"announced Brock. "Let me just--" "Teleportation,"said Zach mechanically. Our bags disappeared. "They're at the temple now,"he said. "Ok, let's go, let your minds rely on mine." I braced myself. I didn't particuarly like this way of travel. "Teleportation." There was a sickening sensation of all my atoms being pulled apart at once. It was over in a second, and I felt myself hit the stone ground. I looked around at everybody, who aparrently felt the same way. Zach was standing over all of us, smiling. "Yeah, the feeling does take some getting used to,"he said. Once we recovered ourselves, I looked up at the magnifacent beauty that was the Psycic temple. It reminded me sort of like a samurai's castle, with almost everything made of stone. We slowly made our way up to the gate. "Welcome,"Zach said. "To my home." He pushed open the high gates. An amazing eutopia met our eyes. Everything was made out of the finest marble. Everythig that was not made of Marble or earth was electronic. Brock was admiring every last bit of it. "Wow,"he said softly, running his hand softly over the walls. "This is the most amazing artistry I have ever seen. It was as if it was carved by magic..." "Close enough,"said Zach, turning to greet a small, portly monk that just approached us. "Welcome back, Jr. Master Jones,"he said, bowing. "Good to be back, Jek,"Zach replied. "This is Jek, everybody,"he added to us. "The cheif chronicler of the temple." He bowed to us, and we bowed back. "Master Gennin is expecting you," he said to Zach. "Of course,"he replied. "Can you have someone show them to thier rooms?"he added, indicating to us. Jek nodded, and summond another monk over to him. The monk directed us tward a flight of spiral stairs and we followed in suit. I looked around temple more, the higher up you went, the more magnifecent it got. The quarters were more magnificent still. The walls were made of marble and the beds were covered in fine silk. Each wall was draped with a silver banner, written on it was a language I didn't understand. "I hope you enjoy your stay here,"said the monk. "Jr. Master Jones will be back shortly." And without another word, he bowed and left. Max flopped himself down on a bed. "Now this is nice,"he said happily. "Well, don't get too used to it,"I said, sitting down as well. "We're not staying for too long. In fact, I hardly know the reason we're here in the first place." "Zach said that you would get answers,"said Brock. "I wonder what he ment by that." ------------- --ZACH-- "It's good to see you." Master Grennin was sitting in his study, drinking tea and reading one of the scrolls from the library. He stood up and I embraced him like a brother. "It's good to be home,"I replied. We both sat down at the tea table. "So,"said Grennin conversationally, poring me some tea. "Was your mission a sucess?" "Very much so,"I replied, draining my tea. "In fact, that's one of the things that I'm going to report to the council." "But I have a feeling that there's something else,"said Grennin knowingly. I paused, then heaved a deep sigh. "Well,"I said slowly. "It's something about this kid..." And there's chapter two for ya! Hope you enjoyed it! And as you know, until next time, Keep a stick on the ice!
