Hey there! Welcome back! Glad to see you made it! I hope you enjoy this cutting edge next chapter! And when your done, I can't wait to read your cutting edge reveiws! Enjoy! I was in my quarters preparing for the departure. Many things were going through my head. Everything the council told me, about the story. I just couldn't think of who the Black Dragon could be? Why did they tell me, of all the students in the temple, about what was happening. Zach said the council doesn't play favorites, but it seemed different to me. There was a knock on the door behind me. "Come,"I said without turning. I heard footsteps and I looked up. To my suprise, it was Gary. "So,"he said. "The big bad Psycic, huh? Didn't think you had it in you." I chuckled. "And look at you,"I replied. "A big scientist. Diddn't think you had that in you, either." It was his turn to chuckle. "Well,"he said. "To tell you the truth, Nither did I." He sat down in the chair in front of me. I locked my suitcase and sat down. "I know what you mean. Life comes at you so fast, by the time you realize what's happend you've been robbed blind." "True,"Gary replied. "Ten minutes ago we were competeing against who could become the greatest first, and then we blinked." That was true, too. I still couldn't believe that I was here. The past seems like a lifetime ago, but in fact it was only a few years. Right now, it seems that my dreams of becoming the greatest pokemon master is fading with every day, but when I think of my father, how he once trained here, nothing much matters to me. Nothing much, except her. I have to see her again, although that dream seems to be dying with the others. Yet somehow, I get the feeling that things are going to be all right. That things are going to work out. I don't know how, but I just know it will. "But I have to admit, hearing you becoming a psycic was a shock to me,"Said Gary. "I never knew that you had the blood and the power." "You and me both,"I replied. "At times I thought that they were making a mistake, but..." I lifted my hand gingerly and the tea cup acrossed from me floated up and into my hand. "Ah,"said Gary. "I see what you mean." There was another knock on the door. "Come,"I said. This time it was a psycic, not much younger than me. "Good day to you, sir,"he said formally, bowing. "My name is John. I have been informed by the council that I am to accompany you when we leave." "Accompany me?"I asked, bemused. "Yes, sir,"he replied. "Along with your friends." "Of course,"I said. "Thank you, and nice to meet you, John." "The honor's mine, sir,"He said, bowing. "You don't have to call me 'sir' by the way,"I said. "Just call me Ash, and this is Gary, an old friend of mine." "Yes, si-, er, Ash,"he replied, somewhat embarassed, he bowed one last time, turned to leave, but paused. "Oh! I almost forgot,"he said. "The council will be leaving here shortly." And with that, he left. I looked over at Gary. "Well, I guess this is another adventure,"he said. "You ready?" "As luck would have it, I am,"I replied. We both got up and headed for the Grand Hall. ------------ Everyone was meeting in the Hall and Gary and I walked over to May and the others. They had packed their bags, and some were whispering to each other things like,"What do you think is going on?" or "What are we doing here?" Was I one of the only ones who knew where we were going. Just then, Master Gennin stood up and the crowd silenced. "I'm glad everyone could be here,"he said. "Now, you're all probably wondering why we are gathered here, but we cannot speak of this just yet, but we are heading to bunker Kerrin untill further notice. These are troubled times, as I'm sure you've felt it with you, we must take refuge, so you must all go and not return until I give word, understood>" The crowd murmured in consent. "Excellent,"beamed Gennin. "Now, on the count of three."I grabbed on to May and Max, and they linked arms with everyone else. "One." "Let your minds rely on mine,"I said softly. "Two." I felt Max and May's grip tighten. "Three!" In a flash of light we were gone, and there was the same sensation that all my atoms were being ripped apart and put back together in odd places, though I was trained and used to it. In an instant, I felt my feet touch stone floor and I saw everyone fall to their knees beside me. I caught my breath and took in my surroundings. It looked like we were in an old mid-evil fortress. I looked for windows, but they didn't have any, yet the room was brightly lit as if it was during the middle of the day. I looked around some more, and I saw that everyone else had probably transported to their rooms. "This is your first time at the fortress, is it not?"said a voice behind me. It was Gennin. "Yes,"I said, startled at how quickly he appeared. "Well, I'm afraid you over shot your target,"he said. "Your room right down the hall from here." "Thanks." "Make sure everything is accounted for,"said Gennin consolingly. "I will,"I bowed and left for my room. I headed down the hall like he said and and stopped at my room number. Gary, richie, Todd, Pikachu and I were all sharing a room, while Brock, Max, and Tracy were sharing with May. We entered into our quarters. It actually wasn't all that different than my quarters back at the temple, just a lot grayer. I looked around, and collapsed on the bed. What a day, what a day. "Interesting,"said Todd, whipping out his camera. "I must get the name of his decorater." I continued to look around. It's my first time at the fortress, yet, somehow, It all looks so familiar. I don't see how, but I'm sure I've seen it somewhere before. 'Nonsense,'I told myself. 'It's a pretty common desighn, so I probably saw something similar in a book somewhere.' I just rolled over, and fell asleep. -------------------------- "I'm glad to see that you've made it." What? "Played right into my hands." No.. "Now my plan is completely set in motion." No. "Now...You...are....MINE!!" NO!! I awoke abruptly. Now I know where I've seen this fortress. There it is! The seventh peice! hope you liked it! Now the plot thickens, see what happenes next week! Until then, Keep a stick on the ice!
