Pyrite (Fool's gold) Part 1-A fresh start to life! At the edge of a small town called Little Root lies an odd lab, normally only an assistant and, but rarely, a professor. You see in each region, there's a lab in which a head professor studies and passes out Pokémon to new trainers. What are these "Pokémon" and "trainers", you ask? Well look it up your self, because I ain't your mama! You have a computer with Internet don't you? Look it up on Wikipeda.com! What'd you say? You don't have a computer or Internet!?! Then how the hell are you reading this!?! Anyways I don't feel like braking the fourth wall any more than necessary, besides you want to hear my story, don't you? If not get out now! No, no, I'm not going to that again…back to the story. So I was say'n that the professor was usably never in, right. He doesn't like being crammed up in his lab like most prof. Can't say I blame him; I mean what normal person would? How ever to day was the day. All the amateur, wanna-be trainers started today, so he had to be there. "Hi!" A young boy, with some what neat, blue-black hair and shaggy red bangs, incredibly big dark-blue eyes, wearing a long-sleeved red jacket with a white flame shaped symbol on a black Star of David on a shirt pocket, and kaki pants came barged though the double doors of the lab, "Today I get my first Pokémon, right? Then I can begin saving the world!" "Well, I see you egger to start right away," the professor said, he was…nah I ain't describing this one, he's not a fan-character, so look it up your self. He continued, "So, which Pokémon would you like for a starter, Chakka?" "I thought about it all night, and I want Torchic!" The boy know as Chakka exclaimed. "Well that's the first time a boy chose Torchic," a board voice called out. "Huh?" Chakka hesitated. "Why's that?" "Usably a boy comes in and sees in as "too cute" or girly" a girl came down. She had pink hair held in two, medium length, ponytails, and lax, brown eyes, seemingly annoyed with the world. She wore a white windbreaker over a pink t-shirt, a pair of white pants with two pink stripes going down, and a pair of pink and white gym shoes. On her head a pair of thin rectangular, silver glasses. Her voice not portraying the slightest bit of emotion. "Most don't realize its second and third evolution is not a all "cute", its kind of fun to see the look on their faces when they find out." "Yah, Blaziken is so cool!" Chakka practically screeched like a fan girl, meet her idol. "What ever…" she picked up a Pokéball, "I'll take this one…I guess." "Pi…" Prof. Birch started to say, but the door opened once more. Though it was slower. "Hello I'm here to get my qualifications for Pokémon training," a girl with dark blue shaggy hair, tied into a ponytail at the bottom, in the middle, and blood red eyes. She was wearing a, blue, long sleeve t-shirt, with yellow at the end of each sleeve, her pants had the same concept design, as well a red belt, and blue shoes to top it off. "Well you just missed the last Pokémon, sorry," Prof. Birch apologized, sadly, "Who are you anyway? I haven't seen before." Suddenly a sly smile formed on her face. "I'm Zuzu, and that's all right, I already have 50 Pokémon, I just came for my official license and maybe a Pokédex…" Yep that's me! ~End~ Author&Friends A: Hi, I'm Zuzu_The_Mudkip, and this is my first fanfic, well, actually the first I submitted…anyways you're probably wondering what this is, well it's an area where I can talk to you readers, and explain so things. I thought it'd be spiffy! ^_^ Z: You just stole that idea from Slayers! Even using only the first letter of a name is from it! A: I was going to tell them that, if you had let me finish… Z: Yah, right! A: This is my section, so but out! Z: But it's called Author&Friends! :P A: I guess your right on that, but it's called Author&Friends, not Author&fiends. Z: Ha, ha, vary funny; we should all be so lucky… A: What ever, anyways, back on track; In this section I'll do things like that; where I talk to characters, or answer emails, not that I think I'm a good enough writer to get any fan mail, though it would be nice. I do accept criticism, as long as it's of the constructive type. Also Zuzu can be that way, I hope she didn't come on too rude… See ya!
