I like to gleefully call this my quarter life crisis fanfic. The reason for this is fairly simple, when I first got the idea for this fanfic I had just turned 21 and was having one of those reflective moments we all have when we realize that one of the big milestones everyone always talks about is right there staring you in the face. But the whole romance thingy plot concerning Yvonne and Nathan and certain supernatural elements didn't come until much later. It all started with this line of questions;

In the Pokémon world, if you don't go on a journey at age ten then what? Better yet, what happens to twentysomethings and older in the Pokémon world?

My answers to these questions, although a bit unorthodox, I hope will entertain you and make you think a little bit as well. In some instances Mary sueism in this writing is very much intentional.

My thanks to my two aunts for with their over 50 years of nursing training for helping me sometimes unknowingly with bits and pieces of every day medical know-how and a certain understanding of the trials and mental tribulations of being a public servant :-)
